Fan websites are those prominent websites which are maintained by fans. We have this category because there is a need to keep track of the major fan websites.
The existence of this category is not an invitation for you to create a page about your personal website.
Rather, it is for sites that have a demonstrable prominence, most likely because they are referenced by sources that this wiki deems acceptable. A good way of thinking about it is that if a fan-run website is noticed by The Guardian, The New York Times or even The Sun, it can get an article on this wiki and use this category. Another type of fan website that you may find in this category is one which demonstrates an attempt at genuine, well-annotated scholarship about Doctor Who and its universe.
Note that all pages in this category are subject to swift deletion by admin, particularly if they violate T:NO FANFIC.
