Jim was a young boy. He witnessed a terraforming device land on the graveyard beside Gravestone House begin to terraform the area into a swamp-filled forest. Jim saw the light from the device, and followed it into the forest, meeting his friend Raj there, along with the Tenth Doctor and Rose. Skeletons from the graves began to crawl from the ground, and the group sought refuge in the house, meeting Ivy Henson. The Doctor later worked out that the device was awakening the skeletons as repairmen to fix the device and stop it from terraforming and reverse its effects.
