An alternate version of Ellie Martin was a companion to an alternate version of the Valeyard, a possible future incarnation of the Time Lord known as the Doctor.
She was saved from a fatal car accident by the Valeyard and became his companion, though the Valeyard later threatened her at some point during their travels he could always take her back to her time, and place her in the path of an oncoming car.
