{{Forum/doc}} is a template that notifies users on talk pages that a particular discussion has been moved to a forum thread. It should be put at the bottom of the ongoing discussion on a talk page as a way to sort of "end" that discussion and point others to the relevant forum thread. It does not need to be signed.
Usage
Usage is simple. Just place the following at the bottom of the talk page discussion:
- {{Forum|xxxxx}}, where xxxxx represents the thread number of the newly-moved discussion.
It will produce:
This discussion was referred to the forums
You can optionally enter an automatic datestamp by typing:
- {{forum|124276|{{subst:time}}}}
This will produce:
This discussion was referred to the forums on or about 20130311045239
With renaming discussions
If you are using this template for a discussion about renaming a page, you must fix {{rename}} on the article at the same time. Here's how.
