Talk:Sun-singers of Akhet

This should be renamed Seven Singers of Akhet not Sun Singers.

I realize that in the episode it really sounds like Matt Smith say the Sun Singers of Akhet, but in the closed captioning shows him as saying the Seven Singers of Akhet. This makes more sense in the scheme of things as well, since they are not singing to the sun, but to the planet (Old God). – The preceding unsigned comment was added by 96.242.38.39 (talk).

Yeah, once again, we're prioritising the BBC iPlayer spellings, as it's the native origin of the show. We can't have multiple spellings for everything!

Star system?

Does "Sun Singers" really sound like a name of a star system? Perhaps its better to assume the Singers are the people and the system is called Akhet. Movsar ☎ 18:07, April 14, 2013 (UTC)

It was my assumption that the system was just called the Seven Worlds and Akhet was the name of the monastic order or perhaps one of the planets or the system's sun. Klever81 ☎ 23:03, April 14, 2013 (UTC)

I saw "Sun-singers of Akhet" as a clever poetic name for the system, since these worlds orbit the sun (Akhet), thus singing to it. I don't think it would be fair to call the system "Seven Worlds" since Akhaten is part of the system too (or at least used to be) and is neither one of the seven worlds or the sun. --SnorlaxMonster 07:40, April 15, 2013 (UTC)
