Safiya was the younger daughter of Haroun ed-Din and the sister of Maimuna. After El Akir stole Maimuna, Haroun kept Safiya at home to keep her safe from the Emir.
In 1190, Barbara Wright and Safiya hid in a wall compartment of ed-Din's house while Akir's soldiers searched for them. After her father killed El Akir, she was reunited with her sister. (TV: The Crusade)
