The Loligo were an intelligent, multi-tentacled species that somewhat resembled squid, although they were essentially humanoid and did not appear to live underwater. They were capable of administering what the Tenth Doctor called a Loligo sting, an injection of neuro-toxin that could be harmful to other species. While the Doctor found some members of the species amusing — like Terry Price — this offensive capability did make them dangerous, as Majenta Pryce learned when she once got into a fight with a Loligo named Ceecee.
