Andy Goddard is a BAFTA-nominated television director who has been active in British television since the late 1990s. He directed The Next Doctor, as well as several key episodes of Torchwood.
He shared his memories of working on The Next Doctor on the 92nd edition of Big Finish's charity podcast series Toby Hadoke's Who's Round.

After working most of 2001 on that programme, he spent the next few years directing occasional episodes of Taggart, Casualty, The Bill, Twisted Tales and others. He began working on Torchwood in its first season and was one of its principal directors. The plurality of the first two seasons of Torchwood was directed by either Goddard or Ashley Way.
