Tommy was the Head Earther at the Museum of the Last Ones, meaning that he was responsible for collecting specimens from Earth. He showed the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones around the museum, and helped them find the stolen last black rhinoceros. He was later attacked by a sabre-toothed tiger that he was trying to capture again. He was taken to hospital, and had a full recovery. (PROSE: The Last Dodo)
