The New Martian Republic was a New Mars government led by Grand Marshall Raxlyr during the Martian Civil War. It started after Raxlyr had overthrown and murdered most of New Mars' royal family. According to Lord Axlaar, Raxlyr placed martial law on the entire planet and routine executions were held daily. Martians opposed to the regime became refugees on Peladon.
