Neil Perryman wrote the Short Trips story Last Minute Shopping. He later ran a successful and popular blog named Adventures With the Wife in Space, in which he watched every episode of the classic series, the missing episodes as fan reconstructions, and the Paul McGann movie with his wife, Sue Perryman. They later watched and blogged about the Christopher Eccleston era, the 2005 Children in Need special and The Christmas Invasion in 2015. His wife was not a fan, and her reactions to the series were recorded. Beginning in 2013 he released a series of books sharing a name with the blog, co-written by his wife.
