As an American fan, it's been very nice to see Doctor Who becoming more and more popular in the United States. I love all thirteen doctors and don't think of any certain one as "my Doctor".
I became a fan in the Summer of 2007. My first episode was Smith and Jones after it had just aired. My first classic episode was The Ark in Space, followed by Planet of Giants. I constantly went back and forth between Doctors and found myself loving each of them. On November 20, 2013 (6½ years after first becoming a fan and just three days away from the 50th anniversary) I had finally seen all (at the time) 798 episodes of Doctor Who (including recons for the missing episodes).
Then there have been the comics and the audio dramas, which are also very entertaining. I really haven't read any of the novels, mostly because they're the most time-consuming. But I've read plenty of the summaries off the Doctor Who Reference Guide.
All in all, Doctor Who is still my favorite TV show. I may have many other interests, but Doctor Who will always be close to my heart.

I'm the same guy as Kinnikufan. I like this title better since it suits the wiki.
