The Punchellions were small creatures that often went on galactic tours entertaining crowds from a puppet booth. While hypnotising their audience (usually children), they collected mental energies using their Harvestor Pods to power the star drive engines of their entertainment cruisers. An overload of the engines was enough to rip apart the fabric of the universe and create a rift in time and space. One such hole was created in the village of Himbleton on Earth. It let through all manner of anti-matter variforms (including space alligators, clowns and babies in nappies).
