A Graske named Krislok posing as child, Oscar, from the year 1951 walks into a time fissure and is transported to the year 2009. Unbeknown to Sarah Jane Smith, who takes him back, he did it deliberately under the command of the Trickster. Having spotted a milestone, she later asks Mr Smith about the village she could see in the distance, discovering it was Foxgrove, the village where she was born. When Luke Smith inquires about her odd behaviour, she shows him a photograph of her parents and tells him of how they abandoned her as a baby by the side of the road before being killed in a car accident, leaving her to be looked after by her aunt.
This timeline was created when Sarah Jane travelled through a time fissure to 1951 Foxgrove and stopped her parents' deaths by using her sonic lipstick to damage their car. Though this change itself had no major effect on the timeline, as Foxgrove was a weak point on the Web of Time, the disturbance opened a rift that allowed the Trickster to break through into the universe and fully manifest on Earth. The Trickster then "sucked the life out of the Earth", reducing the planet to a dead wasteland and killing all but a few humans. It also affected her parents, who found their touch could cause things to decay, like flowers and fruit.

Though realizing that the time fissure was a trap and initially refusing herself the opportunity to go back and meet her parents, that evening she does so, but accompanied by Luke who had anticipated her actions. Rani and Clyde ask Mr Smith where they have gone, and realize that she has gone back to when her parents were alive. Then the Verron Soothsayer's box lights up. Sarah Jane and Luke spot her mother at the village fete carrying Sarah Jane as a baby. When they shake hands with Sarah's father, they introduce themselves as David and Victoria Beckham. Luke spots the child they 'helped' earlier and follows him. Sarah Jane has a conversation with her mother, who reveals her plan is for Sarah Jane to have siblings. Sarah Jane leaves before she is forced to hold herself in baby form, which would have created a paradox. On seeing a newspaper, Sarah Jane realizes that the day she has visited is the day her parents died. She ignores Luke's warning that changing time was a trap, and sabotages her father's car thereby preventing the accident. The child, Oscar, reveals that he is in fact a Graske. Sarah Jane and Luke go through the time fissure again and discover that present-day London has been destroyed. The Trickster then appears before Sarah Jane and mockingly thanks her for all she has done for him.
In this reality, London appeared to have become a blasted wasteland, with most buildings reduced to rubble. The sky was heavily clouded, and there was a blue-grey tinge to the atmosphere. The only inhabitants lived in a shanty town, where they were forced to mine Earth's remaining resources by Krislok, the Graske servant of the Trickster. The Trickster's eventual aim was to build ships, in order to escape into space and conquer the rest of the universe. On the Trickster's Earth, the human race has been enslaved and are forced to mine for resources so the Trickster can extend his reach to other planets. In this alternate timeline, the entire city of London has been destroyed.

This alternate timeline is negated when Krislok agrees to help Rani by opening a time fissure. Rani communicates with Sarah Jane through the time fissure and tells her where the Trickster is set to manifest in 1951, when he creates this timeline. The Trickster is eventually destroyed and the timeline is negated.

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

Creation[[edit] | [edit source]]

(TV: The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith)
