A Dreadnought-class ship was a class of spaceship used to front a Cyberman invasion.

A Dreadnought-class ship is a class of ships used to front a Cyberman invasion. It is a massive Cyberman-shaped giant capable of walking. It contains an energy weapon in its left hand and a missile launcher in its right. Inside its chest is a factory for Cyber-conversion. The mouth peice also acted as an observation deck where the Controlling Cyber unit would be stationed. One of these ships named the Cyberking was built under the Thames river in victorian London. It rose from the river under the command of Mercy Hartigan who was the designated Cyberking unit at the time. The ship then proceeded to march across London bombarding the city. However the Doctor managed to use infostamps to severe the tie between Miss Hartigan and the cyber technology she was connected with, opening her mind and causing her to overload the system in horror at what she had become. This destroyed both her, the Cybermen and the Cybershades causing the unpiloted ship to shut down. The Doctor then used the rod from a Dimension vault to send the empty ship into the time vortex where it was to be harmlessly dissintegrated.

It is possible that this type of vessel has been used before by the Mondasian Cybermen as the Doctor seemed to recognise the ship in such a way as he could name it and cite its function. It is also probably that this variant of Dreadnought class ship is quite primitive and could be improved as the Cybermen were stuck in the Victorian era with limited time, space and technology to work with.
At least three Dreadnoughts led a full-scale Cyberman invasion of Sontar, their firepower overwhelming even the Sontarans' defences. (COMIC: Supremacy of the Cybermen)

This topic might have a better name.

This should really be disambiguated somehow, as this is far from the only "Dreadnought class" in the DWU.

Talk about it here.

You may wish to consult Dreadnought for other, similarly-named pages.

A Dreadnought-class ship was a class of spaceship used to front a Cyberman invasion.

It was a massive Cyberman-shaped giant capable of walking, containing an energy weapon in its left hand and a missile launcher in its right. Inside its chest was a factory for Cyber-conversion. The mouthpiece also acted as an observation deck, where the controlling Cyber unit would be stationed. One such vessel was the CyberKing. (TV: The Next Doctor)

At least three Dreadnoughts led a full-scale Cyberman invasion of Sontar, their firepower overwhelming even the Sontarans' defences. (COMIC: Supremacy of the Cybermen)
