: In ''[[The Edge of Destruction (TV story)|The Edge of Destruction]]''), the Doctor tells Ian to look at the "indicator" — no "fault" — so it sounds like a generic name, not its actual name. Earlier in the conversation he calls it the "fault locator" ('''twice'''). So I removed it. It can be re-added if there's a non-television source for the name. Fault indicator[[edit source]]

An anonymous editor made the claim that the fault locator was also known as the "fault indicator", with the reason "In the Hartnell era it wasn't called the fault locator. It was indeed called the fault indicator." I don't have access to any Hartnell era story as of right now, but I definitely recall the term "fault locator" existing at some point in both The Daleks and The Edge of Destruction. -- Tybort (talk page) 14:09, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

In The Edge of Destruction), the Doctor tells Ian to look at the "indicator" — no "fault" — so it sounds like a generic name, not its actual name. Earlier in the conversation he calls it the "fault locator" (twice). So I removed it. It can be re-added if there's a non-television source for the name. Shambala108 14:46, April 17, 2014 (UTC)
