Anithon was a member of the Xeraphin species. He was assistant to Epeyak at the end of the Vardon-Kosnax War. At the direction of the First Doctor, he and the rest of the Xeraphin merged into a bioplasmic organism in order to escape the effects of radiation poisoning. (PROSE: The Vardon Horse)

After the Tremas Master's arrival on prehistoric Earth, Anithon was the manifestation of the good side of the Xeraphin. When Professor Hayter sacrificed himself, this let Anithon communicate with the Fifth Doctor. (TV: Time-Flight)
