The Robot Amalgamation was a collective of robots from the planet Robotica. They captured specimens from planets and used a neural digitiser on them to read their minds and learn about their worlds. They hoped to use this knowledge to invade other planets.

Believing that the Scottish tradition of "First Footing" would allow them to claim the Earth as their welcome gift for being the first visitors of 2011, they conceded defeat when they realised the Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond and Rory Williams had been chasing the time zones using the TARDIS and beaten them in a fair challenge. (COMIC: First Foot First)
