Osgood, Oswald? When Clara was in the Black Archive she sees a picture of herself(likely one of her other selves that was created when she entered the Doctor's time-stream). Of course i'm speaking hypothetically but the similarity in their names sounds like a big coincidence to me.Jedted ☎ 05:43, November 26, 2013 (UTC)

She is Kate Stewart's daughter. Why is this not mentioned?

:I haven't seen the episode yet, but from what I gather, some people are hearing her saying "ma'am" but thinking she's saying "mum"; this is so far their only proof of a relationship. I've listened to Narcissus and if I heard right, it sounded like they confirmed that the human Osgood is still alive, meaning it was the Zygon Osgood that Missy killed. :I also heard "mum" or "mom" from that, but I think further proof is the part after the Doctor asks Osgood for a report on the stone with graphs and whatnot. Kate Stewart then orders Osgood to use her inhaler, and I doubt that she would tell a subordinate to use his or her inhaler, as opposed to her daughter.
: Yes, it was not stated explicitly. But the implication was clear when Bonnie-Osgood was arguing the other Osgood had smaller chance of survival if sent to the spaceship. Amorkuz ☎ 17:18, April 7, 2019 (UTC)

::The explanation is that Osgood pronounces "Ma'am" in the manner that the Queen prefers - it ought to sound like "Mum" not "Marm". I think Kate is her sister. The Zygon said she was jealous of one of her sisters, and I'm guessing it's Kate. I also think if that's not true, she's probably Tom Osgood's daughter. --Knight
:I find the first thing highly unlikely, there's way too large of an age gap and they don't even share the same last name. It is possible that she's related to Tom Osgood, however, he apart of UNIT and did handle many technical aspects, much like her.

companionshipedit source

Here's the dialogue from Robo Rampage. CoT ? 17:28, January 4, 2017 (UTC)

There appears to be at least two editors thinking that Osgood is a companion of the Twelfth Doctor and at least two (including myself) insisting she is not. I propose to stop toggling the category until a consensus is reached, based on the discussion I now start by laying down the main argument (credit for it goes to TheChampionOfTime) against her being a companion: the Doctor's own words from Robo Rampage. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Amorkuz (talk • contribs) 20:58, December 28, 2016‎ .

I think she should be considered a one story companion of the twelfth (as she took the role of his companion in the Zygon two-parter). She shouldn't be considered a companion in the Death in Heaven episode though as she didn't travel with the Doctor. Xx-connor-xX 21:04, December 28, 2016 (UTC)
The Doctor seems pretty definitive, though. She's not his companion. "I'm ideal material. It's just that my work here on Earth is too important."
The Doctor offered to take her with him and Clara in their travels. "Do you want to come?" She replied, "More than anything. But I think I have to stay."
Is the argument being made that she was briefly a companion in the Zygon stories? But then why isn't Kate a companion, for example, as well? The companion in those stories is still Clara. Osgood is a recurring character, but I don't think the Doctor's companion.
