ROFL! "The episode, judging by the title, will probably feature some dead guys on a planet." That's rich. I don't have the heart to correct it.RaquelApplegate 10:04, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

I've cleaned up, linked, and categorized this story. And created a new category in the process, too. --Golden Monkey 22:16, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Why are there two ramdom charecters down as companions?
Theme song easter egg
In the commentary RTD only says that they appear he never says that they are companions.
Anonymous tip: Listen to the opening theme, the standard "1-2" drumbeat that's usually in the background has changed. Instead of the single drum, four drums in quick succession occur. Sound familiar? (I verified this on the DVD, listening to the theme that played on the menu and then the theme that played in the actual episode). I didn't edit it in myself since I'd rather other people double-checked before adding. This may or may not occur in other episodes too, I'm not sure.

Before The Next Doctor was broadcasted, a rumour link was sent up on the article pages and a message was inserted that you could only add rumour if there was proof could an admin do that to this page, it would help to root some really stupid rumours. Where did the information for the Synopsis and the enemy come from, it sounds suspect so I'm going to remove it

Dubai controversy
Right now mentioning the Dubai filming controversy in "Story Notes" is probably good enough, but we should be prepared to make it its own section -- perhaps even its own article -- if the brouhaha gets big. We should make sure, though, that if anyone adds quotes, etc. connected to this topic that they be accompanied by sources - no generic "RTD said last week..." type comments. 2009 or 2010?edit

I know we had an unfinished conversation three years ago. It can be found here. Unless it was brought up at the forums, there never seemed to be a consensus. I noticed that, at the moment, the setting in listed as 2010 in the infobox. The page itself says the following:

 • This story refers to the events of when the Earth is transported to the Medusa Cascade that took place in May - June 2009, based on novel information, which would place it in 2010; however, controversy errupted with TV: The End of Time taking place on Christmas 2009, placing this story in Easter 2009, before the Medusa Cascade incident. Unfortunately, there are many reasons this story cannot take place after The End of Time, some of which are Naismith's status and the worldwide recession. The writers or producers have not addressed the dating issue. Some fans believe what date novels give should only be taken with a grain of salt if it disturbs on-screen continuity.

So... If the decision was already made, please say so here and what the conclusion was. If we still haven't reached a conclusion, then we need to discuss it all over again. SmallerOnTheOutside 15:00, February 3, 2013 (UTC)

That isn't the only discussion concerning dating.
See Talk:2009, Talk:Series 3 (Torchwood)/Archive 1#Date, Forum:Timeline Clarification Questions and Forum:"Children of Earth" takes place in late 2009: confirm/deny?. --Tangerineduel / talk 16:03, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Theme song easter eggedit

Anonymous tip: Listen to the opening theme, the standard "1-2" drumbeat that's usually in the background has changed. Instead of the single drum, four drums in quick succession occur. Sound familiar? (I verified this on the DVD, listening to the theme that played on the menu and then the theme that played in the actual episode). I didn't edit it in myself since I'd rather other people double-checked before adding. This may or may not occur in other episodes too, I'm not sure.

I just watched Planet of the Dead on Netflixedit

Odd, because a few months ago I remember watching episodes on Netflix and Planet of the Dead wasn't there. But I've been re-watching them with my girlfriend, and we watched Planet of the Dead. (I'm in the US, by the way.) Anyone know why or when it changed? --Chaoseed 07:04, August 15, 2014 (UTC)
