I've been altering many of the infoboxes on this wiki so if you don't put something in a field on an infobox it won't appear. Looking at some of your recent edits, all in-universe articles should be written from a past tense point of view. Out-of-universe articles should also be written from a past tense point of view within reason (for instance actors who are still alive should be written in present tense). Additionally, it would help not to create pages for people who have yet to appear in episodes as we currently do no know the full names of characters (titles are not names and therefore should not be included within the wikilinks). Hi. I've been in the slow process of trying to work out a way to make the Feature Article process get some sort of results. As such I've just implemented a new Feature Article process, see Feature Article policy (now obsoleted) and Feature Article nominations. Just curious as to the reasoning behind tags such as <nowiki>(<!-- *{{Wikipedia|}} -->, <!-- *{{imdb name|id=|name=}} -->, <!-- [[Real World|]] --> etc)</nowiki> you may have noticed they don't do anything. Please don't add them they generally just make the edit box cluttered and hard to edit. To add a wikipedia link, inline it is <nowiki>[[Wikpedia:Wikipedia article name|Words you wish to appear in article]]</nowiki> (example: [[Wikipedia:Agatha Christie|Agatha Christie]]), for a wikipedia box that links out it is <nowiki>{{wikipediainfo}}</nowiki> example: see the [[DNA]] article for an example of the wikipedia link box. The only issue I see ahead is that dealing with other Doctors (other than the Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh Doctors) is that Doctors One - Seven have all been in novels across at least two ranges; the Virgin New/Missing Adventures and the BBC Books Past Doctor/Eighth Doctor ranges. (There's also the Telos Novella range to consider)  
(This discussion should really be carried out on the article talk page). The answer is in how the article is written, they're fictional concepts, created for Donna and Lee, they weren't characters in and of themselves. As such I didn't see the nessecity of them. Additionally should they be kept, how should they be categorised? They're sort of [[:Category:Fictional characters]] but not in the commonly accepted manner, they're sort of [[:Category:Personifications of concepts]] but not really either. I suppose they could be categorised in [[:Category:51st century individuals]], but the question is are they individuals only when we see them at the end with Song? If all this information's going to be contained on within the template it's going to need to be clearly marked out. Though this would create quite a long list to cram into the template especially for the Seventh and Eighth Doctors.

HIya :)  Got your message.  I would've thought the rationales given on the talk pages would have explained that I'm not actually deleting the pages.  I'm not an admin and don't have that power, anyway.  All I'm doing by flagging these battle/event pages is to try to create debate.  Logic demands that if [[Talk:Skirmish at Tranquil Repose]]  now has wide support for deletion, many of the rest need to be culled as well.  A quick look at their "What links here" pages shows that most are basically stale pages (i.e., they're largely unused in other articles).  I mean, c'mon, "[[Battle on the Dalek Saucer]]"?  That's a totally invented name.  Most editors wouldn't think for a moment that such a page exists, so they wouldn't link to them.  And the reason they wouldn't think they exist is because, in actual point of fact, most of these things ''don't exist''.  We've ''created'' these articles out of nothing, giving them names where none was given by any script or other source. The infobox didn't add anything to the page, it almost detracted from the page's information. (It also repeated or misrepresented information found on the [[Gallifreyan]] page).


There is an infobox for [[Gallifreyan]]s, who are a 'species', the first sentence of the Time Lords article states that they are 'rulers', the Gallifreyans article also backs this up, 'not all Gallifreyans were members of the august society...'.

Hello, my intention was never to vandelise, the pages I edited only to remove the character that had no pages, I find it silly to type something, allow to be linkable and than link it to nothing, yes I could have editied the links and made pages but I have not read the books. I am not looking to get into an arguement simple just present my reasons for editing.
Any new users you come across you can always add the [[Template:Welcome IP]] template to their page: <nowiki>{{Welcome IP|}}</nowiki> (you can leave your signature after the | like this <nowiki>{{Welcome IP|--~~~~}}</nowiki>, or just leave it as this <nowiki>{{Welcome IP|}}</nowiki>. We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.

British English, please

We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.

Spoilers aren't cool

We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.

If there was a way to make them look at the MoS when they clicked an edit button it would need to be applied across the whole wiki and for all users (in theory anyways).

This adds template with links off to the help page and other pages that may be of use to new users. Happy holidays!

As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.

This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!

We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.

2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!
