They find themselves to the structure where they find a being, the size of a large baby. It has been waiting for the Doctor, and gets him to push a button on a console, which unfortunaley pins the Doctor to the wall.

It explains that it is dying and needs to transfer itself into the Doctor's body, but needs it to be dead first, so tries to compel Jo to kill the Doctor, the Doctor also using his mental abilities prevents Jo from taking any action.

The exertion to control Jo becomes too much and soon the creature expires.

As they get ready to leave the Doctor muses to Jo, that hopefully now that the creature is gone things might start to grow here.
