The main difference to fanfiction is that it is available to purchase in print, and in the case of Seasons of War there was communication with the BBC to check if it violated everything; and of course there is the contribution of Big Finish/EDA/PDA/Virgin etc. writers in a public space. As it is in print theoretically one could come across it in a charity shop or similar so it has wider readership than standard online fan fiction. I personally believe it should be included for completionism's sake (although good to hear it will be included elsewhere), but had I been aware that all charity publications were violating the Wiki's policy, obviously I wouldn't have created the page in the first place. :::::::::It still isn't licensed by the BBC. Besides, Big Finish, Virgin and PDA do not have the rights to feature any revival Doctors. <font face="Georgia" style="color:black; font-style:italic; font-weight:bold;">Sabovia</font>Talk to me 15:19, February 7, 2015 (UTC)
I've heard from CzechOut on this matter, and am posting his response here: "I don't personally care whether charity stuff gets saved or not. It just shouldn't be here. That said, it would be relatively easy to port the charity stuff onto it's own wiki through the use of Special:Import/Export. Wouldn't take more than a few hours to set it up. "
Therefore, if anyone would like to start a wiki for this info, or see if it can fit on another wiki, then I will leave this material up for about a week. If there is no interest in saving this material, it will be deleted. Shambala108 <span title="Talk to me">☎</span> 02:51, February 17, 2015 (UTC) |

This article needs to be deletededit source
Per Thread:166007 this page shouldn't have been created on this wiki. 50.37.16.133talk to me 20:25, February 5, 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into it later when I get a chance. Shambala108 ☎ 21:04, February 5, 2015 (UTC)
This was created under the charity publications category and is expressly stated as non-canon. If this article is to be deleted, by that logic ALL charity publications pages should be deleted. Notsimonpegg ☎ 21:25, February 5, 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, all charity publication pages should be deleted. That's what Thread:166007 says, as well as the original discussion Forum:Charity anthology short stories. P&P talk contribs 21:38, February 5, 2015 (UTC)
- I've removed the delete tag for now because in both thread:166007 and Forum:Charity anthology short stories CzechOut (and other admins) expressed interest in moving this content to another wiki. Therefore, this page should not be deleted until he has a chance to look into it, and the delete tag should not be re-added yet. Shambala108 ☎ 14:01, February 6, 2015 (UTC)
- Perhaps until then we should move Seasons of War somewhere else. Out of the namespace. Because it clearly violates T:NO FANFIC, perhaps move it to User:CzechOut/Seasons of War - since you said it will remain until CzechOut looks into it. SaboviaTalk to me 17:16, February 6, 2015 (UTC)

- I've already asked CzeckOut to look into it, but for now it will stay, because adding to someone else's user page is a violation of Tardis:Vandalism policy#User pages. If you read Thread:166007, you'll see that this is part of a larger issue that needs to be addressed, but hasn't been for years, so I think there's no big rush to remove it before CzechOut can look at it.
