Sul Starren was an employee of the Twin Banks on They're All Nouns You Idiot.
In 2594, Starren was going to commit suicide by dropping from the anti-gravity conduit connecting the Bank's two skyscrapers a hundred and eighty-seven storeys above the ground. A stranger appeared to him, convincing Sul to make some short-term investments. If they did not turn out well in a week, the stranger said he could still kill himself.
