The Finshargles were a species that made money from a scam. They would steal the consciousnesses of everyone on a planet and record them on a device called a soc-reel. They would then sell the soc-reels to anyone who wanted to experience the culture of another people.
Bernice Summerfield tracked down a Finshargle ship and stopped their plans. She turned them over to the authorities. (PROSE: The Spartacus Syndrome)
