Malkon was a Trion and Vislor Turlough's younger brother. As an infant following the Trion Civil War, he was exiled to Sarn in a spacecraft which crashed, killing his father and all others aboard.
The people of Sarn found Malkon near the volcano and, due to his Misos Triangle brand, raised him as the Chosen One, destined to rule Sarn. However, he was uncertain in his faith and had strange memories and an unwillingness to burn people, saving the lives of three who claimed that Logar was not real. He welcomed the Fifth Doctor and Vislor Turlough to Sarn, learning from the latter of his true heritage.
Upon recovering from being shot by a Sarn, Malkon left the planet for Trion with Turlough, who had realised that Malkon was his younger brother, along with the rest of his people. (TV: Planet of Fire)
