Robert deLaurentis was an American producer and writer. He worked on the script for the Doctor Who TV movie until he was replaced by Matthew Jacobs on 5 May, 1995. (REF: Doctor Who: Regeneration) His unproduced Eighth Doctor script, The Time of My Life, was detailed in REF: The Nth Doctor, and its character of "John Smith" inspired the character of Daniel Joyce in the BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures novel Unnatural History.
