Professor Roberts was an archaeologist who was part of the Fellowship.

He led an expedition for UNIT that was excavating an alien skeleton near Stonehenge. He knew it was there, and was trying to bring it back to London. The Seventh Doctor and William Blake stole the truck the bones were in. Roberts tried to stop them, but the Doctor disarmed them. The archaeologist stood in the way of the truck, but the Doctor was able to manoeuvre around him and take the remains into another dimension. (PROSE: The Pit)
