Tancred Auguste was President of Haiti in the early 20th century.
He succeeded General Lecomte after some of his followers killed him and blew up the Presidential Palace to cover up the murder. Auguste's presidency did not last long, as he was the first of five presidents between 1912 and 1915. (PROSE: White Darkness)
