{{Iwx/doc}}, short for interwiki x, provides a template for a very general interwiki link, designed for use in the external links section on articles.

For external links, that is, links to websites other than wikis, please use {{elx}} instead. For inline interwiki links, use {{iw}}.

The first undefined variable — or 1 — is the name of the page on that wiki, and 2 is the name you want to pipeswitch it. If 2 is left undefined, it defaults to 1; if 1 is left undefined, it defaults to {{PAGENAME}}.

Meanwhile, wiki is for the name of the wiki you want to link to as you would type into the url bar. So whatever comes before the ".fandom.com". If you want the name that displays to be different to the one defined in wiki, use wiki name.

(New: Add t=y to add "the" before the wiki name link (ex: "the LEGO Dimensions Wiki".)

Please use the wiki description variable sparingly—if the name of the wiki says it all, as is the case with Queer as Folk Wiki, it's an unnecessary redundancy to use the variable.
