A llama was a mammal native to Earth. In 1988, Richard Maynarde came across a pair of llamas at a safari park in Windsor. He was frightened by them, as he had never seen such a species before. (TV: Silver Nemesis)
According to the Eleventh Doctor, llamas were one of two species, the other being Time Lords, that should never be startled under any circumstances, telling Alice Obiefune that he'd rather face down the Dalek Fleet than a spooked llama. (COMIC: Strange Loops)
