Besma Grieve was a xenologist from Gidi.
She had spent years studying the lifeforms on three different planets. She met Anji Kapoor on Hitchemus whilst studying the native tiger-like species. When Longbody attacked Anji, Besma tries to stop the tiger but is killed. (PROSE: The Year of Intelligent Tigers)
