Lorelas was a vendor who lived on Plestinious. She told Melanie Bush where the Valeyard was going. Claiming to be a person who saw "more", she appeared to have some limited psychic powers, having been able to feel plight of the Nathemus as their natural habit on Plestinious's moon was destroyed, and was able to sense that Mel on an subconcious level knew that the Valeyard was not who he claimed to be (the Valeyard was masquerading as the Doctor at the time).
