Galacton was the third planet in a star system with a red sun. The densely forested planet attracted the attention of the rapacious Daleks before the Last Great Time War. They drilled into the planet's core to release molten rock. Red-eyed creatures, seemingly composed of the very ground itself, offered formidable resistance to the Daleks on the planet, at one point forcing an evacuation.

However, the Dalek Attack Squad Leader sacrificed itself to energise the core after being trapped within a bore hole. The planet was ripped apart. The Daleks were then to use the core as an energy source for the Dalek Seventh Fleet. (PROSE: Mission to Galacton [+]Loading...["Mission to Galacton (short story)"])
