:: I've relistened to it carefully. I strongly believe that '''Cornet''' is military rank. Indeed, no one would use the first name in the following ways: "Begging your pardon, Cornet, Sir". Also Cornet is not from the village, he is in the employ of the Witch-Pricker and has killed a lot of men. Later, he is set to guard the squire of the village. The first time the squire sees him, he calls him '''Cornet'''. He wouldn't know his first name and would not address a newly arrived mercenary by the first name. On the other hand, addressing him by his military rank is completely natural. I'm putting the rename request. Is "Cornet" the first name or military rank?[[edit source]]

I have a suspicion of the latter. See Cornet (rank). Amorkuz 21:50, January 26, 2016 (UTC)

Your suspicions may well be correct. If they are, this page should be renamed to exclude the honourific.

I've relistened to it carefully. I strongly believe that Cornet is military rank. Indeed, no one would use the first name in the following ways: "Begging your pardon, Cornet, Sir". Also Cornet is not from the village, he is in the employ of the Witch-Pricker and has killed a lot of men. Later, he is set to guard the squire of the village. The first time the squire sees him, he calls him Cornet. He wouldn't know his first name and would not address a newly arrived mercenary by the first name. On the other hand, addressing him by his military rank is completely natural. I'm putting the rename request. Amorkuz 10:29, May 28, 2016 (UTC)
