Laura Ainsell was a university student. One day she and seven other students were exploring a cave. They found a Cnidarian artefact that absorbed their life forces. When they returned to the university with the artefact, they were placed in the medical wing, suffering from exhaustion.
When Mel and Ly brought Dr Leech to the medical wing, they saw that Laura and the other students were growing tentacles. Laura begged to be put in water.
