Why does it says his "main period active" was 2006 to 2008? I guess 2006 was his first episode of Torchwood (42 aired in 2007), but he was writing Doctor Who itself until Power of Three in 2012. Wouldn't it make sense to say that in 2016 it was announced that Chibnall would be taking over as showrunner, and that this officially started as of those last few seconds of Twice Upon A Time (like how Moffat's first scene as showrunner was the ending of The End Of Time)? | |||

His new jobedit source
As the spoiler policy is intended to only protect against premature discussion of storylines or characters, I don't believe it is in violation of the policy to indicate Chibnall's new job. This isn't the same case as it was with Capaldi where some argued that the very acknowledgement of there being a new Doctor cast was a spoiler. I didn't agree with that attitude then and I don't now, but I can still see where it came from. But when it comes to someone being hired for a new job not related to any storyline or casting or character information, I think it satisfies policy. The only thing unclear at the moment is when exactly he's supposed to take on his new job as there's differing media reports as to when the other guy will vacate. 23skidoo ☎ 22:45, April 18, 2016 (UTC)
Change leadedit source
To be more in line with T:OOU, as well as the fact that Torchwood Declassified and Doctor Who Confidential have long since concluded, might I suggest an admin change the lead to this (while avoiding anything spoiler-y due to the page lockdown)?
- Chris Chibnall wrote several episodes of Doctor Who from series 3 in 2007 to series 7 in 2012, and was also the effective head writer of series 1 and 2 of Torchwood from 2006-08, after becoming co-producer of those first two series. This status made him a regular interviewee on Torchwood Declassified. He has also made four appearances on Doctor Who Confidential.
- That said, many people were frequent guests of Declassified and Confidential. What made Chibnall unique as a "DWU talking head" was that he was the only one who can claim to have done it in the 1980s. Of all the producers of the BBC Wales version of the Doctor Who universe, he was the only one to have appeared on the BBC talking about the 1963 version of Doctor Who, while it was still on the air.
Also, to anyone who understands the pcred template, might I suggest adding that template for his writing and co-producing credits at the bottom of the page? -- Tybort (talk page) 15:57, April 22, 2016 (UTC)

Updating this pageedit source

The official Twitter post is a perfectly good source for Chibnall's birthday, but it was posted just after midnight on March 21st, GMT, not March 20th. It seems to me quite clear that this source is giving us a birth date of 21 March.
