Slarn was a Jacondan chamberlain (PROSE: The Twin Dilemma) who was loyal to his master, Mestor. He had an authoritarian personality. When one of the Jacondans, a porter, tried to steal vegetables from the Royal Hatcheries, Slarn turned him in and Mestor killed him by means of an embolism.
After Mestor's death, Slarn was freed and became afraid he would be killed by other Jacondans. The Sixth Doctor refused to take him away when he pleaded, though the Doctor took others. (TV: The Twin Dilemma)
