The Doctor's Age[[edit source]]

In the episode, the Doctor slept in a "tank" for 139 years. Is he now about 2139 years old? Mentuhotep I 08:09, October 11, 2015 (UTC)

I have added that in Earth terms he would be about that age. Thanks. --90.221.128.67talk to mek 12:08, October 11, 2015 (UTC)

Wasn't he in statis? If so, he hasn't aged at all physically. Snivystorm 16:29, October 12, 2015 (UTC)
His age would still count upwards. This example have been made before, I think. --DCLM 16:59, October 12, 2015 (UTC)

Beethoven existence[[edit source]]

It's heavily implied that Beethoven is the Twelfth Doctor in this episode, does anything need to happen to their pages? --90.221.128.67talk to me 12:22, October 11, 2015 (UTC)

"Heavily implied" is not a valid source. Shambala108 17:07, October 11, 2015 (UTC)
No it's not. The Doctor was explaining a bootstrap paradox, and gave a hypothetical example. This means that we should understand how the paradox works by "imagining" that Beethoven didn't exist. He even said it never happened and that he had met Beethoven. --DCLM 12:17, October 12, 2015 (UTC)
It could be thought that the closing comment implies that the Doctor actually did write Beethoven's Fifth. But as mentioned, it is not clear what is "true" in all that. -- Beardouk 20:46, May 21, 2016 (UTC)

Fourth wall[[edit source]]

It appears that the Doctor breaks the Fourth Wall, but actually he doesn't. The beginning of the episode is a sneak at the ending of the episode, and the person he's talking to is actually Clara. The screen(s) is(are) Clara's eyes. --DCLM 12:17, October 12, 2015 (UTC)

It would still qualify as leaning on the fourth wall at the very least, where even if he didn't break it he comes very close to it. Also, did he seriously tell Clara to "google" the bootstrap paradox? Stryzzar (talk) 12:22, October 12, 2015 (UTC)

Sure, why wouldn't he have told Clara to google it? It's common during her era, and both of them have made references to similar current websites/apps. Spreee 16:24, October 12, 2015 (UTC)Spreee

Incidentally, a Happy Christmas to all of you at home!--Skittles the hog - talk 16:50, October 12, 2015 (UTC)

The Eleventh Doctor mentioned Twitter at least twice (maybe more) so mentioning Google isn't that anachronistic. 74.102.29.172talk to me 21:31, October 12, 2015 (UTC)
