Gimel was a Time Lord general during the war with the Great Vampire. He led the Chancellery Guard on a raid to overthrow the High Council and place Rassilon as President of Gallifrey.
He later plotted with others to overthrow Rassilon. Rassilon had him vaporised and scattered through the Vortex of Time. (PROSE: The Scrolls of Rassilon)
