Strock was a Sontaran commander. When the TARDIS landed on a planet, called "worthless rock" by the Sontarans, Strock took the Fifth Doctor and his companions into their bunker after capturing them outside the TARDIS. The planet was in fact an outpost in the Rutan-Sontaran War, and Strock had produced a plan to charge the Rutans be killed gloriously in the process. The Doctor tried to convince him to do otherwise, but Strock stuck to his decision, guiding the Doctor to his TARDIS before being shot down by the Rutans. (COMIC: In Their Nature)
