Jeremiah Bash Henderson was a human who lived during the time of the Human Empire. He was in a relationship with Norton Folgate, with whom he planned to learn how to safely open Object 1 and bring back the Committee.
To do this, Jeremiah invented a "sob story" for himself in which he had to kill his wife after she was possessed by the Enemy and that Jack Harkness had sent him to the Torchwood Archive with Object 1. After watching a series of recordings from Torchwood's history, Jeremiah gave a bomb disguised as Object 1 to the Memory Core, destroying the Archive whilst he and Norton fled to revive the Committee. (AUDIO: The Torchwood Archive)
