Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]
In 1889, Li H'sen Chang levitated Emma on stage at the Palace Theatre and brought her under his control using the psychic powers given to him by the 51st century war criminal Magnus Greel. She was one of many young women whom Chang procured for Greel, who cannibalised their life energies using a catalytic extraction chamber in attempt to heal his deformed body.
On the night of her death, Emma was witnessed entering the side door of the Palace Theatre by her husband, leading him to accuse Chang of kidnapping her. Buller told Chang that he would inform the Metropolitan Police Service if he did not tell him where Emma was. However, Chang sent Mr Sin to kill him before he could do so.
Shortly afterwards, Henry Gordon Jago and Casey found Emma's monogrammed glove in the theatre's cellar, which led the Fourth Doctor to Greel's lair underneath it.
Before her death, Emma lived with her husband and her mother at 14 Fish Lane. (TV: The Talons of Weng-Chiang)
