Robert Upney Jr. was a popular actor who had a panel at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con. During the panel, the Lady of Neverness used the large amount of pictures being taken to break out of the Falmurian Conjunction and into the room where Upney's panel was held. The Lady's presence began transforming those in the room into monsters, but the Twelfth Doctor reversed the transformations and trapped the Lady. With everything back to normal, many took photos of Upney. (COMIC: Selfie)

Robert Upney Jr. bears a strong resemblance to the real world actor Robert Downey Jr. They look similar and have near identical names, with the only difference being the "up" in Upney's name and the "down" in Downey's name. In the real world, Downey was in a panel at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con.
