Fred was the campus security supervisor at the University of East Wessex. Before that, he was a policeman. Detective Sergeant Bob Simpson was his brother-in-law. When psychic experiments began to go awry, Fred tried to cover up the problems to avoid bad publicity for the university. (PROSE: Psi-ence Fiction)
