==The screwdriver action==
I have one question, which came up some months ago, when I first watched the episode: What exactly is the Doctor doing? How can he kill the Silence with his sonic screwdriver? And why is this feature never again mentioned (or used)? He ran over decades with an actual weapon around, heared some jokes about it, and then, for this time (after a cabinet-building-joke) he used it as a sonic wave weapon.
