Shev were a black-skinned species with one eye. They enjoyed human meat, though it was rare enough that they didn't have it often.
Mark Thorne ended up on the Shev planet and made himself useful to Trawets and Syhr by cooking for them. Eventually, however, they decided to hunt him. (PROSE: The Misadventure of Mark Thorne)
