Untransmitted images are those images of 1960s Doctor Who missing stories that do not come from either an episode itself or telesnaps.
Because of T:IPER, such images are not allowed to principally illustrate[nb 1] either the story page or character pages deriving from those stories. They may be used in behind the scenes sections of character pages, as long as it's made clear they do not come from the episode-as-transmitted.
In general, images in this category come from the following 1960s Doctor Who stories.[nb 2]
- Wholly missing any images from transmission
- There are legitimately zero images from these two productions.
- Missing almost all but the tiniest amount of footage
- The Myth Makers
- "Death of a Spy" doesn't exist at all.
- "Temple of Secrets", "Small Prophet, Quick Return" and "Horse of Destruction" each have about 20" of film remaining. So, mere frames.
- Individual episodes that have no visual record
- The Reign of Terror entirely exists in some form.
- However, "The Tyrant of France" and "A Bargain of Necessity" can only be illustrated with the animated reconstructions
- Galaxy 4
- "Trap of Steel" and "The Exploding Planet" don't exist at all.
- Most of "Four Hundred Dawns" also wasn't telesnapped, but an extended motion picture clip of it does exist.
- The Daleks' Master Plan
- "Devil's Planet", "The Traitors" have no telesnaps, but there each have a tiny, approx. one-minute snippet available.
- "Coronas of the Sun", "Volcano", "Golden Death", "The Abandoned Planet" and "Destruction of Time" don't exist.
- "The Feast of Steven" was not tele-snapped by Cura, but Robert Jewell made a very casual attempt at photographing the television set since he was in the episode.
- The Celestial Toymaker:
- "The Celestial Toyroom", "The Hall of Dolls" and "The Dancing Floor" don't exist
- The Invasion
- Episodes 1 & 4 only exist in animated form.
- The Space Pirates
- Episodes 1 has about 1' of film in existence
- Episodes 3-6 do not exist at all
Notes
- ↑ "Principal illustration" means: within the infobox or in-universe sections of in-universe pages, nor anywhere above the cast and crew sections on story pages.
- ↑ Though the category is meant for images from the above-named missing episodes, it would also be disallowed to use images that come from existing or telesnapped episodes that are from sources other than actual transmission.
