Ky was a Solonian leader who greatly desired independence from the Overlords who ruled his people. When the Administrator who had come to grant independence was assassinated, the Marshal of Solos accused Ky, forcing him to flee to the surface of Solos, taking Jo Grant with him. He was later contacted by the Third Doctor who, along with Professor Sondergaard, had discovered that the Solonians' "mutations" were actually part of their natural life cycle. Ky eventually metamorphosed into an advanced Solonian and vaporised the Marshal, killing him. (TV: The Mutants [+]Loading...["The Mutants (TV story)"])
