Captain Richard Railton was second-in-command of the Marine Space Corps expedition to Exxilon.
Biography[[edit]]
When Railton met the Third Doctor, he, like the others, were surprised by his ignorance of the plague that was ravaging various human colonies.
When the Daleks arrived, Railton was visibly frightened by them, as noted by Dan Galloway, and yet he proposed an alliance since the humans and the Daleks were just as powerless.
He was killed when the MSC expedition members, the Doctor and three Daleks were caught in a skirmish with the Exxilons and captured by them. (TV: Death to the Daleks)
